May Updates 2021

Citizens and residents of the following countries are allowed to enter Georgia: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tadjikistan, Turkey, EU, Norway, Switzerland, UK, Israel, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrein, UAE and USA) no news regarding South East Asia, Canada, NZ and Australia.
Turkey is going into lockdown until May 17th, Russian flights through Turkey been canceled (from April 15 - June 1st) , available through Yerevan, Minsk

Number of confirmed cases in mid April went up to almost 1800 a day, lately over 1200 a day.
Everyone needs to perform PCR testing, including children and vaccinated passengers, on the 3rd days as well.
If you do test positive on the 3rd day you must self isolate at your place (rented apartment) for 12-14 days. If you don't have a place to stay you will be sent to covid hotel at your own expense (15-30$) a day until your test comes out negative.
It is not allowed to rent out apartments or houses for parties for more than 10 people.

Cinemas, theaters are open, the last movie will start at 6 pm.

Attention: for Indian citizens! Georgia has tightened entry rules for indian citizens. all Indian visitors entering Georgia will be required to present PCR test results from the proceeding 72 hours. After entering Georgia, individuals coming from India (regardless of their citizenship) will have to undergo mandatory 14-day quarantine, which should be financed by their own budget.

April 30 - May 5th Easter holidays
Schools are temporarily going online from 5-12, some are still remaining education online
Cemeteries are closed from May 2-4
Public transport (buses, metro, marshrutkas) will not work from May 3rd to May 12th, taxis only, rental scooters, however intercity transportation is working (trains, buses, marshrutkas)
Public service hall is closed for easter holidays from 30 April - 4 May
Some national parks and canyons are temporarily closed, they are: Martvili canyon, Okatse, Kinchkha waterfall, prometheus and Sataplia caves. All of them are in Samegrelo, other national parks are open.
Curfew still remains from 9pm - 5am, except May 1st from 11 pm to 4 am
Bars, restaurants closed on Saturdays and Sundays, take away only
Malls, markets and shops open 7 days a week
Wearing mask is mandatory
Land borders are closed, only allowed to exit the country at Sarpi (batumi)


SCAT airlines flying from Aktau - Tbilisi every thursday
From may 15th Air Astana flying Almaty - Tbilisi 3 times a week
From May 2nd Flyarystana from Kutaisi to Aktau, Atyrau and Astana
Wizz Air renewed flights from April 18th, Vilnius - Kutaisi, Warsaw - Kutaisi
Georgian Myway Airlines will be flying from May 15th until October 30th from Tbilisi-Yerevan
Flydubai will be flying Dubai - Batumi from may 12th 3 times a week
From may 10th Kuwait Jazeera airways will be flying El kuwait-Tbilisi 3 times a week
Ukranian SkyUp will have regular flights from ukraine to Tbilisi and Batumi
Vanilla sky will be flying Tbilisi-Batumi-Tbilisi on Mondays and Fridays
